Call for Photographers: Hot Air Jubilee & BFA US Women’s Nationals
We are looking for talented photographers to help us capture the magic of the upcoming Hot Air Jubilee (HAJ) and/or the BFA US Women’s Nationals!
Whether you are a seasoned professional with your own business or an enthusiastic hobbyist looking to build your portfolio, we welcome you to apply. In exchange for your time and talent, we are offering exclusive “behind-the-scenes” access to the events, bringing you closer to the action than the general public.
Here is what you need to know before applying:
The Opportunity & Access
- Exclusive Access: Selected photographers will receive “behind-the-scenes” access for two people. This includes special access to the launch field and target locations to capture the best possible shots.
- Compensation: Please note that this is an unpaid, volunteer opportunity. Photographers will not be financially compensated; compensation is strictly provided via this exclusive behind-the-scenes access.
Criteria for Applicants
- Availability: You must be available to shoot during the BFA US Women’s Nationals or the HAJ weekend.
- Skill Level: Open to everyone! You do not need to be a professional or own a photography business. Hobbyist photographers are highly encouraged to apply.
- Equipment/Quality: You must be able to provide high-resolution photographs.
Event Rules & Deliverables
- Safety First: Photographers must strictly follow all instructions from event officials at target locations and must remain completely outside of the scoring zone at all times.
- Required Deliverables: You must capture a minimum number of photos from various points during and around the HAJ event. A complete checklist of required shots will be provided to you closer to the event if selected.
- Personal Use: Beyond the required shots, you are free to take as many photos as you want for your own personal or professional use.
- Image Rights & Formatting: The photographer retains ownership of all photographs. However, you must provide the Hot Air Jubilee with high-resolution images without any watermarks or other markings. By participating, you grant the Hot Air Jubilee unrestricted rights to use these images as they wish, including for marketing and promotional purposes.
